A collector's guide to GalleryCamp
What collectors can expect when a gallery shares artwork, an order, or a payment request.
You do not need to learn gallery software to use GalleryCamp. Your gallery will send a direct link when it has prepared something for you—usually a private selection of work or an order.
Receiving a private viewing room
A viewing room is a focused presentation created by a gallery. It may include artwork images, artist and work details, availability, and prices chosen specifically for that room.
Open the link in a current browser on your phone, tablet, or computer. If the gallery protected the room, enter the access information provided in the same message.
Some rooms are available only between specific dates. If a link has expired, ask the gallery to reopen it rather than forwarding an older copy.
Looking at artwork
Read dimensions and medium carefully, and remember that screen color and scale are approximate. Ask the gallery for anything you need to make a considered decision:
- Additional detail or installation images
- Framed and unframed dimensions
- Condition information
- Provenance or exhibition history
- Shipping, installation, tax, and insurance details
- A hold or reservation while you decide
Your viewing activity may help the gallery understand which works in the room are receiving attention. It does not create a purchase or reservation by itself.
Receiving an order
When a gallery prepares an order, review:
- Your name and contact details
- The artwork and quantity
- Price, discount, tax, shipping, and other adjustments
- Deposit or payment terms
- Delivery or collection arrangements
- Any customer-facing notes
Contact the gallery before paying if any detail is incorrect. A corrected order is clearer for everyone than an informal amendment in email.
Paying securely
A GalleryCamp payment link opens a collector-facing payment page. Confirm that the link points to the gallery's expected GalleryCamp page, and never send card details over email or text.
The gallery may also record payments made outside the card link, such as wire, check, cash, or another agreed method. In that case, follow the gallery's written instructions and verify bank details through a second trusted channel.
Security note: unexpected changes to bank details should always be confirmed by calling a known gallery number—not a number contained only in the change request.
Privacy and sharing
Treat a private room or order link as you would a private gallery email. Do not post or forward it unless the gallery says it is intended to be shared.
Gallery staff use your contact and transaction details to manage the relationship, answer inquiries, prepare orders, and keep appropriate business records. Questions about retention, marketing preferences, or corrections should go directly to the gallery that invited you.
Need help?
Reply to the gallery contact who sent your link. Include the room or order name and a description of what you see, but never include complete card or bank credentials in a support message.
