Find your way around
Understand the dashboard, navigation, search, and the everyday rhythm of GalleryCamp.
GalleryCamp is organized around the way gallery work moves: catalogue the art, develop collector interest, make the sale, and understand the results.
The dashboard
Dashboard is your daily briefing. It brings together recent inquiries, orders, and newly added works, plus an inventory snapshot and top artists.
Use it to answer three questions at the start of the day:
- Is there new collector activity that needs a response?
- Has inventory or order status changed?
- What is coming up next?
The Add Artwork button in the header is the fastest route to a new record.
The five main areas
Inventory
- Artworks — catalogue, images, availability, prices, editions, provenance, and condition
- Artists — artist biographies, contacts, websites, and connected works
- Consignments — incoming and outgoing work, counterparties, dates, and return obligations
Sales
- Pipeline — opportunities moving from interest toward a sale
- Inquiries — messages and requests that need a response
- Orders — draft, unpaid, partially paid, paid, cancelled, or refunded sales
- Customers — collector contact details, context, tags, notes, and history
- Rooms — private, curated presentations for collectors
- Payouts — money due to artists after eligible sales
Content
- Events — exhibitions, openings, fairs, and public dates
- Blog — stories, announcements, and editorial content
Reports
Review Sales, Inventory, and Engagement from one place. Reports are most valuable after your team consistently records statuses, prices, orders, and collector activity.
Settings
Manage the organization, physical locations, team access, websites, and API integrations.
Search and filtering
Most list pages place search at the top. Search for the most specific reliable detail first: artwork title, artist name, collector email, order number, or room title.
On Artworks, use the filter button to narrow a large catalogue. Filters are better than trying to encode status or location into artwork titles.
Tip: when you follow a nested sidebar link, GalleryCamp places focus in the page search where one is available. You can begin typing immediately.
Records and lists
A list is for finding and comparing; a record is for understanding and editing. Select a row to open the full record. Use checkboxes for actions that apply to several records, and the three-dot menu for less common actions.
Status is meaningful throughout GalleryCamp. Keep it current rather than treating it as a decorative label—availability, pipeline totals, reports, and collector presentations depend on it.
A simple daily routine
Morning: check Dashboard and Inquiries. Assign or respond to anything new.
During the day: update artwork location and status when work moves; add notes to the relevant collector or sale record rather than keeping context in personal messages.
After a sale: confirm the order and payments, check the artwork status, and review any artist payout obligation.
Weekly: review open deals, overdue consignments, draft rooms, and inventory reporting.
